The trip up around Fraser Island has been going very well even though by Queensland standards the weather has been a bit cool with plenty of rain. Now between the mainland and Fraser Island, we have sailed up to Yankee Jack Creek, a favourite spot on Fraser Island that we explored at low tide and were amazed by the different wildlife found, including these crabs with very big single claws.
From there we ventured out into Platypus Bay to a spot called Arch Cliff which has a delightful freshwater creek running into the bay. It was a delightful spot to spend Mothers Day 2009, enjoying a BBQ on the beach with family from Brisbane. After a great lunch and a few drinks we just lay down next to our log and had a nap. Life is great, enjoy...
